SAM’S CLUB is also voluntarily recovering two ground beef products. The products are 90 percent fresh ground beef and 90 percent fresh ground beef patties purchased with sell-by dates of May 17, 2002, to July 19, 2002. SAM’S CLUB is asking members who purchased these products during these dates to please return the product to any SAM’S CLUB for a full refund or replacement.
Food safety is a top priority at Wal-Mart and SAM’S CLUB and this recovery serves as a reminder to our customers and members of the importance of proper food handling and preparation. According to the USDA, ground beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with these products.
